Aggies Ranked No. 22 in Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll
Dec 22- Defending Big 12 champion Texas A&M earned a No. 22 ranking in Collegiate Baseball newspaper’s Fabulous 40 pre-season NCAA Division I poll, the publication released Friday. The Aggies, who finished the 2007 season ranked No. 14 by Collegiate Baseball, are boasting their highest preseason ranking since 2005. Arizona was rated No. 1, followed by South Carolina, Arizona State, Ole Miss and North Carolina, with Rice, San Diego, Texas, Wichita State and Michigan rounding out the top 10.

Texas A&M 64, UAPB 37
Dec 16- Josh Carter scored 16 points and Texas A&M used stifling defense for a 64-37 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday. The Aggies (9-1) held Arkansas-Pine Bluff scoreless for nearly 10 minutes to start the game, then the Golden Lions went without a basket for an 8 1/2-minute span in the second half. The win improves the Aggies' home record to 7-0 and breaks a three-game winning streak for Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
